The CKAN Maintainer

The role of the CKAN Maintainer is pivotal in ensuring the seamless functioning and continual enhancement of the TUMI Datahub. This position is entrusted with overseeing the technical operations, facilitating updates, and introducing new features to maintain the platform's efficiency.

Responsible for the correct configuration and operational integrity of the TUMI Datahub, the CKAN Maintainer plays a crucial role in keeping the platform up-to-date and feature-rich. They are dedicated to maintaining the entire system, ensuring it functions optimally with its various components.

Main Tasks

The main tasks are:

  • database dumping and loading
  • upgrading / updating CKAN
  • enabling and configuring CKAN extensions
  • checking system integrity and performance

Most of these tasks are performed by GIZ TUMI as the hosting partner of the TUMI datahubs.
